It is a fact that all marble is formed by natures process, however they are not all created equally.
Both Carrara Calacatta have variations like the whiteness of the background come into play and the size and boldness of the veins.The closer the marble is to pure white the higher the cost will be.There are variations in shades of white and veining in both stones.
Customers may sometimes mistake Carrara for Calacatta because of the presence of large dramatic veins, the variety and mixture of pattern seems to make  the difference.
Carrara has more variegation and variations and is less white, Calacatta is more consistently bold and white.
